Andrew ~ senior portraits

I was lucky enough to photograph Andrew during the same senior portrait session as Cari, my niece. Andrew is her good friend and “boy next door” and they wanted to combine their senior portrait sessions. Admittedly I was skeptical, because I wasn’t sure I wanted to share my niece’s senior portrait session with anybody! However, within seconds, I realized this was gonna be a super fun evening. 🙂

Because Andrew and Cari live in Indianapolis and I’m hanging out here in Brighton, Michigan, the two families actually went location scouting in advance! They settled on a beautiful, diverse setting at Fort Harrison in Indianapolis. It was close to their homes and has beautiful fields, old dilapidated buildings, bridges, rivers and more. I couldn’t have selected a better spot if I’d tried!Brighton Michigan Senior Photographer

The great thing about photographing two friends is that it also means two moms who were there to help. I always had one mom there to hold the reflector and another mom in the car with one of the seniors changing clothes. When there was no place to park, we were dropped off while they drove the car to stay out of trouble. Having two assistants at my side? Priceless. And I felt just a little bit like a high powered prima donna. 🙂

So back to Andrew. This guy has such an infectious smile you can’t help but be happy around him. His swimmer’s body looked amazing in every outfit he selected. It was great getting to know Andrew and his mother, Teresa. My niece is very lucky to have a friend like him!
